Vincent Knecht and his father Andreas share a look into Vincent’s development in ice hockey – from his first steps with the Bietigheim-Bissingen Steelers to new training impulses through Hockey Staff and coach Anton Stipan.
Vincent describes himself as a curious and focused player who wants to learn something new every day and draws great motivation from being part of a team. His father quickly realized that ice hockey suited Vincent perfectly, bringing together movement, structure, and real challenges.
Over time, it became clear that regular club training wasn’t enough to fully support Vincent’s ambitions. This led the family to join the additional program at Hockey Staff, where he receives more intensive sessions, a wider variety of drills, and professional guidance. Coach Anton Stipan has played a key role, helping Vincent gain confidence, feel comfortable even in large arenas, and strengthen his fundamentals in skating, stickhandling, and shooting.
The family also treasures the many training trips to places like Frankfurt, Belgium, Cologne, Wesel, Bergisch Gladbach, and Switzerland – experiences that motivate Vincent and show him how far dedication can take him.
Vincent’s goals are clear: better technique, more speed, improved game awareness, and participation in high-level tournaments such as the Riga Cup. His father looks forward to competitions in Latvia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, and Hungary – anywhere Vincent can grow through new challenges.
For Vincent, training means enjoying the learning process and being part of a strong team. His father sums it up: “Patience, discipline, and joy in the game will take you farther than talent alone.”
With Anton, Hockey Staff, and the Steelers at their side, the family looks confidently to the future, ready to continue supporting Vincent’s development step by step.
