Hi! My name is Korbinian Leonard Exner, but everyone calls me Korbi.
I was born at the end of February 2019. Before I even turned three, I stood on inline skates for the first time. It was exciting—but somehow, it didn’t quite feel like mine yet.
When I turned four, I put on ice skates for the first time—and that was it! I was hooked immediately. What started as a fun activity quickly became a true passion.

At four and a half, I joined the skating school at DEG. From that moment on, all I wanted was to be on the ice! I practiced every day to improve my skating skills. I just couldn’t get enough. When I was five, I attended my first Hockey Staff Camp with Anton. I was only supposed to stay for five days—but it was so amazing that I ended up staying eight! Since then, I’ve been going regularly to his camps and trainings in Cologne, Geleen, Bergisch Gladbach, and Colmar. At six, I got the chance to try out for a team—and even though I was the smallest, I was accepted! It was such a wonderful feeling. For me, the team is like a little ice hockey family. I really like the coaches—they’re all friendly, kind, and patient. Whether you’re just starting or have been playing for a while, everyone is supported and learns a lot.

Thanks to Hockey Staff, I’ve learned so much—both on the ice and beyond. Ice hockey is my great passion. I love the feeling of gliding across the ice. I’m grateful to all the coaches and the team for supporting me on my journey.
