We started playing ice hockey a bit later than most kids who want to compete — Malia began at 7 and Lou at 8 — all here in Lausanne, Switzerland. Even though it wasn’t the usual early start, we worked really hard with our club, the LHC Academy, and also during extra camps.
One of the biggest reasons we were able to catch up is Anton. He’s an exceptional skills coach who helped us not only close the technical gap with kids who started earlier, but also become strong players in our age category. Thanks to him, we now play at the national level.
Anton isn’t just amazing at teaching hockey — he’s also kind, fun, and really supportive. He pushes us to go beyond our limits, but always in a way that makes training enjoyable and exciting. Every session with him makes us want to keep progressing.
Unfortunately, we don’t get to see Anton and Hockey Staff very often. But we really hope we’ll have the chance to join another camp with him soon, so we can keep improving and have a great time doing it. Malia (now 12 years old) and Lou (now 15)
